Pickup & Delivery Services – Laundro Central

1. Scope of Transport Service

Laundro Central provides pickup and delivery as a convenience service. Our responsibility during transport is limited to the safe handling and transfer of garments between the customer's location and our processing facility, subject to the terms below.

2. Service Areas & Eligibility

• 4-hour express pickup service is available only within Colombo 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, and 07.
• Orders outside these zones are not eligible for 4-hour service and will be processed under applicable standard or 24-hour timelines.
• 1-hour express service is strictly for on-site visits only.
• Pickup and delivery are not available under the 1-hour category.

3. Pickup Cut-Off Times

• The pickup cut-off time for 4-hour express service is 3:00 PM.
• Any 4-hour booking placed after 3:00 PM will be:
  • Processed as received the next working day
  • Delivered the following morning, subject to operational scheduling

4. Operating Days

• Laundro Central operates Monday to Saturday.
• 24-hour service orders placed on Saturdays will be:
  • Processed on the next working day
  • Delivered on Monday

We do not operate on Sundays or public holidays unless explicitly announced.

5. Pickup & Delivery Timings

• All pickup and delivery times are estimated time windows, not fixed arrival times.
• Express timelines begin only after garments are received and logged at our facility — not from the time of booking.
• Delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, building access delays, or force majeure events may affect schedules.

6. Customer Availability, Access Policy & Driver Waiting Time

For safety, insurance, and security compliance reasons, Laundro Central drivers are strictly not permitted to:

• Enter private residences
• Go upstairs in apartment buildings
• Enter hotel rooms or private floors

All pickups and deliveries must be conducted at:

• The main gate (for houses)
• The building lobby or reception area (for apartments and hotels)

• Customers are required to meet the driver at the designated point.
• If unable to meet personally, customers must arrange for laundry to be sent down to the gate, lobby, or reception prior to the driver's arrival.
• Drivers will wait a maximum of 10 minutes at any pickup or delivery location.
• If unattended beyond 10 minutes:
  • The visit will be marked as a failed attempt
  • Rescheduling will be subject to availability
  • Additional transport charges may apply
• Failure to comply with the building access policy will also be treated as a failed attempt.

7. Access Restrictions & Failed Attempts

If our rider is unable to complete pickup or delivery due to:

• Customer unavailability
• Incorrect address details
• Restricted building access
• Security refusal or delays
• Non-compliance with access policy

The visit will be considered a failed attempt. Rescheduling may incur additional transport charges.

8. Handover Responsibility

Items are considered successfully delivered once handed over to:

• The customer
• A family member
• Building security or reception (if authorized by the customer)

Laundro Central is not responsible for items after delivery acknowledgment.

9. Packaging & Item Condition During Transport

• Garments are transported using industry-standard protective packaging.
• Minor creasing during transport is normal.
• Laundro Central is not liable for issues arising from:
  • Pre-existing damage or fabric weakness
  • Items left inside pockets
  • Undeclared accessories, ornaments, detachable parts
  • Undeclared special care requirements

10. High-Value & Restricted Items

• High-value garments (designer wear, bridal wear, luxury items) must be declared at booking.
• Undeclared valuables are transported at the customer's own risk.
• Cash, jewelry, documents, or personal valuables must not be placed inside laundry bags. Laundro Central accepts no liability for such items.

11. Express Service Disclaimer

• Express services are prioritized but remain subject to operational feasibility.
• In rare cases where express timelines cannot be met due to transport or operational constraints, customers will be informed promptly.
• Transport delays alone do not constitute grounds for refunds unless approved by management.

12. Transport Charges & Invoice Threshold

Invoices below LKR 1,500 are subject to a transport charge based on pickup and delivery location. Applicable transport charges will be communicated in advance or reflected on the final invoice. Invoices meeting or exceeding the minimum threshold may qualify for complimentary transport, subject to service category and location.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By booking pickup, delivery, or on-site service with Laundro Central, customers acknowledge and agree to all transport terms and operational guidelines stated above.
